About Kandra Pope

I am currently a Senior at Florida State University, pursuing a degree in Family and Child Sciences with an emphasis on medical sciences in hopes of preparing for Physician Assistant school. Over the past years, I had the experience of working with Boys Town Tallahassee. During my internship, I was in charge of introducing resources from Florida State and the community to Boys Town. During my high school years, I had the opportunity to experience a two-year internship at a local Black-Owned Radion station in Orlando Florida. My job was to recruit local entrepreneurs and outstanding students to talk about their business, leadership skills, and accomplishments. My peers, past instructors, and co-workers describe me as very creative and artistic, along with passionate about evolving social issues. I have created visual art as a hobby as well as a small side occupation if an individual is interested in one of my pieces. I plan to graduate in May 2023 and will collect my direct patient care hours in order to have the correct requirements needed to apply for Physician Assistant school. I am elated to get further into my career of becoming a Physician Assistant. As of now, I continue to network with my peers and instructors at Florida State, as well as join organizations that will help further my development in my career.
