About Kane Lambert

Fleet Maintenance Co-ordinator | Police Scotland** West Area | As Fleet Maintenance Co-ordinator for the West, I oversee the day-to-day operation and upkeep of one of the most vital moving parts of policing — our vehicles in the west of Scotland. From routine servicing and urgent repairs to managing contractors and streamlining internal processes, I ensure that every vehicle is roadworthy, compliant and maximum vehicle availability is retained. My role blends operational oversight with problem-solving and planning. I liaise with my staff, external contractors, and internal departments to keep downtime minimal and data accurate. With a sharp eye for detail, I monitor job tracking systems (like 1Link and Tranman), approve work orders, and flag inefficiencies before they become issues. Working within Fleet and closely with frontline officers, I pride myself on delivering clarity, consistency, and a high standard of support to keep the fleet mobile and mission-ready.
