About Kane Newall

I have recently completed a Criminal Investigation and Policing Bachelors Degree at De Montfort University. My time studying at De Montfort was extremely challenging, yet insightful and highly rewarding. My degree, spanned across three years, introduced me to a wide variety of different forms of criminality and how to effectively apply a critical mindset in order to aid in investigation which contributes towards deterring crime and aiding in bringing crime to justice. Through different modules i have acquired a meticulous skill set which i hope to integrate into my future career. This includes analysing forensic material (Blood, ballistic evidence, fingerprints, bodily fluids, controlled substances, TLC, GC-MS and HPLC, and more), A thorough understanding of relevant legislation that surrounds criminality (Human Rights act 1998, Terrorism Act Fraud act 2006, Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 and more). I am extremely grateful for having the opportunity to study at De Montfort University under some of the UK's most respected lecturers, Forensic Investigators and Police officers. Now that i have completed my studies, i hope to integrate and showcase my aforementioned skillset into an established industry that works towards providing a professional service to customers and victims of crime.
