HI, I am Dr. Kanimozhee, currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at REVA University. I hold an M.Tech and Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering, and I bring over 10 years of teaching experience, with a strong track record of mentoring B.Tech and M.Tech students in their academic and research projects. My Ph.D. research focused on travel behavior and mode choice analysis, where I explored how individuals make transportation decisions under varying socio-economic and environmental conditions. I developed and applied multiple machine learning models (ANN, Fuzzy logic, Random Forest) to better predict mode choice behavior, aiming to improve the accuracy and efficiency of transportation planning processes. This work contributes to building smarter, user-centric urban mobility systems. Prior to my academic role, I served as a Junior Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, contributing to the prestigious interdisciplinary project "The Kumbh Mela Experiment." This initiative involved large-scale data collection and analysis on crowd dynamics, mobility, and safety in high-density public gatherings. My core research interests include sustainable urban transportation, travel demand modeling, mode choice analysis, and the integration of AI/ML techniques in traffic and behavioral analysis. I am deeply committed to interdisciplinary learning and actively seek to bridge technology and transportation planning for real-world impact.
