For most of my student life, I pursued biology, particularly biotechnology. I gained a greater appreciation for the therapeutic side of my studies during my internship at McGill University Health Centre-Research Institute where I researched HIV biomarkers and closely worked with doctors and patients. The conversations with the patients and their appreciation for my field of study further inspired me in joining an institute focused on improving human health.
