About Kapil Bagadia

I am a finance veteran with over 25 years of experience in varied Finance & Accounts functions. I have worked with one of the Big 4 consulting firms for over 20 years covering areas of Finance Accounts Taxation Risk and Projects. But the most exciting aspect of my career has been to navigate through the complexities of business bringing an edge of technology into the processes. Following my passion for digital transformation I have led various initiatives including conceptualizing and creating in-house ERP implementation of SAP automation dashboards and MIS. My entrepreneurial instinct pushed me to get into my own tech and transformation consultancy so I recently assumed the role of Country Managing Partner for PV Advisory. Here are a few things about my work and me ­ - I have spearheaded various restructuring projects including the demerger of Real Estate for value creation various acquisitions LLP conversions GST implementations and regulatory projects without time/cost overruns. ­ - I played a key role in the merger when the Big 5 became the Big 4 that is when Arthur Andersen merged with EY in 2002-03. ­ - I have been instrumental in setting up a 'Shared Service Centre' like structure where all F&A processes were centralized resulting in improved accountability and reduced overheads. ­ - I achieved cost savings of USD 10 mn per annum continuously for a decade while at EY. ­ - I have been awarded 12 Best CFO accolades during my seven+ years as EY CFO including one by Whitepage International for Asia's most powerful leaders in Finance 2022. I enjoy meeting people. I have worked with cross-functional and culturally diverse teams. Having grown across the ranks I have been a hands-on person always believing that the key responsibility of a finance leader is not only limited to data and numbers but also building strong high performing teams. I believe that Leadership is not wielding authority; it's empowering others. When I am not busy thinking of another process automation or working on a project I am usually spending time with my family or reading a book. Initiatives for education of the less privileged are close to my heart and I try to take out time for these. I also find peace in meditation and yoga and love travelling and exploring new places and food.
