About Kapila Jayasinghe
My Postgraduate studies at the Philip's International Institute (PII) was a game changer in my academic life. I had a rare opportunity do my R&D work at the Philips Natuurkundig Laboratorium (NatLab) while doing my Masters Degree. After completing my Ph.D. at Technical University of Twente, I resumed duties at the University of Moratwa. I was able to bring University Research & Development work to Industry as early as 1996 through the "Traffic Signal" project conducted in collaboration of the Road Construction and Development Company (RCDC). My exposure to Patent literature at the NatLab was an enabling factor to become an expert in Prior Art and Public Domain IP search.
