About Kara Booth

I recently graduated from Penn State University with a bachelors degree in Hospitality Management. Along with a certificate in meetings & events. I am interested in working in the Event Planning Industry, I am more focused on weddings and other smaller celebratory events. I decided to major in Hospitality Management because of my love for customer service. I have five years of experience in the Food & Beverage industry working as a server, barista, cook, and cashier. I have developed countless skills working in restaurants from learning how to operate a POS system to becoming a supervisor at Starbucks. The biggest factor in my life that helped me develop my love for event planning was my internship at the Country Club of York in my senior year of high school. I am a very organized and meticulous individual so the aspects that go into planning weddings, baby showers, galas, etc. motivate me to plan the most amazing event. With all of that said, the most amazing part of event planning is the happiness of the guests that I see after all of the crazy planning is done. Working in hospitality since I was 16 has made me realize the love I have for being able to brighten someone's day.
