Background
About Kara Coffee
I am the first woman in history to be appointed to the positions of both Sergeant-at-Arms and Asst. Sergeant-at-Arms for The Texas House of Representatives. In 2022, I was honored with the commission of Kentucky Colonel by Governor Andy Beshear, which is the highest title of honor bestowed by the Governor of Kentucky. Prior to my role with the Texas House, I was in special event operations for 13 years with a primary focus on brand strategy and experiential marketing for 8 of those years. I have developed and managed events, corporate partnerships, and brand activations with such organizations as the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, American Film Institute, Houston Astros, Dallas Mavs, Texas Rangers, University of Texas, Dallas Stars, and many others. In addition, I have held event production and operations management positions with 13 film festivals across England and the US.
