Background
About Kara Craddock
My passion as a registered dietitian lies in teaching young adults practical, sustainable lifestyle changes that translate to long-term chronic disease prevention and risk reduction. Currently, I am the Nutrition Programs Coordinator at Colorado State University Residential Dining Services, allowing me to work with first-year college students learning to navigate health and wellness decisions for themselves, often for the first time. I enjoy teaching, meeting my customers and clients where they are (both digitally and cognitively) which means I'm often working with students in hands-on cooking programs and creating engaging social media content. I feel as an RD, it is my job to combat the misinformation that is abundant in mainstream media. Beyond CSU, I founded a nutrition coaching practice in 2020 where I work with one-on-one clients, create courses, and lead corporate lunch & learns in pursuit of easy-to-accomplish health and wellness for all. Outside of work, I love being outdoors, engaging in "type 2 fun", seeing live music, and spending time with my dogs.
