About Kara Keyes

As a palliative medicine PA at MyMichigan Health, I provide compassionate and holistic care to patients with serious illnesses and their families. I have a healthcare ethics consultation (HEC-C) certification from the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities, which enables me to address the ethical dilemmas and challenges that arise in inpatient settings. I also teach bioethics at Central Michigan University, where I share my knowledge and experience with physician assistant students. I have over five years of experience as a PA, and I am pursuing a Doctor of Medical Science degree at the University of Lynchburg. My mission is to improve my patients' quality of life and well-being and to foster a culture of respect and dignity in healthcare. I have strong skills in communication, patient satisfaction, and interdisciplinary collaboration, and I am passionate about advancing the field of palliative care and bioethics.
