About Kara Stamback

When I was 10 I begged my mom to let me volunteer at a school for children with disabilities. Since then I have loved and thrived at every job I have ever had. I have planned weddings, pulled coffee, and done bookkeeping. I have enjoyed working for as long as I can remember: making things more efficient, pleasant and running well. Helping people. This is how I got into the family business. I felt called to help people. Our business had a unique way of doing that. I got a degree in Psychology and began a very satisfying and varied career as a counselor, coach, leadership consultant and public speaker. I created profound and lasting change for my clients and loved the collaborative nature of being a part of a thriving small business and a growing professional community. I gleaned work ethic, entrepreneurial skills and a confidence to do anything. My proudest achievement was to create a virtual learning division of our company with my sister and launch our flagship online course. It required an entirely new set of skills developing content and campaigns, video editing, graphic design, copy writing and learning new technology. Almost singlehandedly (I guess it would have been 4-handedly!) we delivered and promoted a professionally-produced, multimedia online course that has the proven potential to transform a life. Hundreds of lives, actually. The reviews are consistently rave and it has reached 32 countries. In 2012 my involvement with Leadership Skagit ignited a passion to serve my local community so I turned my orientation from global to local and offer the same transformative leadership and life coaching to my Skagit Valley community. In 2018 I added Neurofeedback to the services I offer helping people to live their lives and contribute to their community with less hindrance, clearer minds and more energy. I am overwhelmed by the potential in every person and so grateful that my job is to bring those resources forward in my clients so they can get out of their own way and engage with the challenges and opportunities of their lives. At mid-life, I have learned a lot from my professional and life experience. The skills, determination and creativity required of an entrepreneur has brought tremendous value to my life. That value translated into my involvement with Leadership Skagit and local community events. I see what’s important and what I have to do with that. I am looking forward to what I do with the next half of my life.
