About Kara Wickham

Hi! My name is Kara, I am the People Ops Manager for ARK. I started my career journey with HDG Hotels as a front desk agent and then team leader at the Holiday Inn Express in Silver Springs. In November of 2020, I joined the management company as the Engagement Coordinator with the involvement in functions like engagement events and monitoring, facilitating and tracking trainings and team members' professional development, and making sure that those we onboard truly feel onboard. I served that role for a year and then transitioned to Engagement Specialist. As the People Ops Manager for ARK, my main role is to engage our internal partners (team members) and external partners with the people, processes, and culture of ARK. I also serve as the main point of contact for a portfolio of hotels to handle all things people operations (HR, payroll, compliance, training, etc.). My favorite part of what I do is being an ambassador for ARK's vision to positively impact. and that starts with our people.
