About Karan Daga

I’ve always been curious about how businesses are built and more importantly, how they’re backed. My journey started on the institutional side at EY LLP, where I worked in Business Risk Consulting, engaging with global financial institutions like Morgan Stanley. From market risk frameworks to recovery and resolution planning, I developed a strong foundation in how large institutions think about risk, regulation, and resilience. But I found myself increasingly drawn to the other end of the spectrum, the early-stage, high-growth world of startups. At St. Xavier’s College, I worked closely within the startup ecosystem, connecting founders with investors, enabling funding conversations, and building platforms that supported emerging ventures. Now at Zeren Capital, I’m operating within the private markets ecosystem, supporting startups across fundraising, strategic direction, and growth. Being part of this journey has given me a front-row seat to how companies evolve from ideas to scalable businesses. As a CFA Level Candidate and a strong grounding in financial analysis and valuation, I’m focused on sharpening my investing lens, bringing together institutional discipline and startup intuition.Long term, I aim to be on the investing side, identifying high-potential opportunities early, backing strong founders, and contributing meaningfully to value creation in private markets.I’m always open to conversations around startups, investing, and opportunities in private markets, feel free to connect or reach out at dagakaran07@gmail.com.
