About Karan Gill

Karan Gill is the founder of SwapSo, In which we are creating a new educational system which is decentralised, transparent & open to all. SwapSo is part of Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub, a program that supports promising entrepreneurs with mentorship, resources, and access to Microsoft's network. Karan has also worked at CiviC, a social venture that tackles the problem of textile waste and unused clothes in India by promoting reuse and recycling. Civic was awarded Pre seed grants from DSSE, IIT Bombay.Karan is passionate about blockchain and Web3 and has demonstrated his expertise and leadership skills by organizing an International Blockchain & Web3 Summit with 16+ international speakers at Techfest, IIT Bombay, Asia's largest science and technology festival. He also secured the third position among IIT students in Finsearch, a finance competition conducted by the Finance Club, IIT Bombay. Karan is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Technology degree in Chemical Engineering at IIT Bombay, and has completed courses on personal brand building, business communication, and Ethereum development.
