Background

About Karan Goradia

Currently I am working at Edelweiss Financial Services Limited in the Proprietary Trading Division as a Portfolio Manager within the Quantitative trading team. I have set up a directional fund that trades in the US. On the academic front, I have completed my MBA in the field of Finance from School of Business Management(SBM), NMIMS(Mumbai). Here I was a part of the Student Council and held the post of Seminars Head where I was responsible for corporate institute interaction. I have done my summer internship from Goldman Sachs in the Global Investment Research Division where I was tracking the non life insurance space in the US region. I have completed my B.E. from Dwarkadas J Sanghvi College of Engineering(Mumbai University) in the field of Electronics and Telecommunications. During college I have conducted various robotic workshops as a part of the events team and also held the position of Social Cause Head as a part of the Cultural Committee. I was a part of the organizing committee for the marathon "Miles with Meaning" in association with various NGOs to help underprivileged children. My hobbies include learning different dance styles and I am trained in Salsa, Bollywood, Folk and Contemporary dance styles.
