About Karan Khurana

I’m a senior business development professional with 15+ years of international experience across the defence, aerospace, and technology-enabled service sectors, with a core focus over the past 6 years on UAV and ISR systems. Based in Lyon, France, I currently manage international sales and partnerships for Europe and Asia at Elistair, a French manufacturer of tethered drone systems used in military, security, and surveillance operations. I handle direct sales to end-users such as MODs and police forces, manage an indirect distributor network, and lead strategic partnerships with OEMs and system integrators. I've helped grow the company’s annual regional revenue from €600K to over €5M and built a long-term pipeline valued at €25M. Earlier in my career, I was part of the early team at a sports technology and services company that developed a digital platform and delivered large-scale programs across India and the Middle East. My background also includes roles in operations, strategic partnerships, and market expansion across both industrial and service-oriented environments. I enjoy working at the intersection of advanced technology, product integration, and real-world service delivery.
