About Karan Pahuja

I'm passionate about education and the impact it can have on students, and I believe that the classroom is the ideal place to experiment with new pedagogical approaches in our rapidly changing world. My journey in education has taken me to some of the finest schools in India, including the renowned 'Pathways School Gurgaon' and 'Indus International School,' where I had the privilege of working with international curricula for over a decade before venturing abroad in 2022. My educational philosophy centers around creating student-centered classrooms, where students are active participants in their learning, and the teacher serves as a facilitator. I'm dedicated to bringing a diverse range of instructional materials into the classroom to provide students with a holistic learning experience that goes beyond textbooks and prescribed resources. My goal in every lesson is to help students realize their true potential and maintain a collaborative learning environment. I've also been deeply involved in extracurricular activities and educational trips, as well as educating students on social and personal development. As an IBDP Examiner for Biology and ESS (Environmental Systems and Societies) and curriculum developer, I've had the privilege of connecting with educators across the globe. This experience has enabled me to foster a deeper understanding of course delivery and assessment within the IB community. I strive to apply both the established and evolving Standards and Practices in a holistic manner, considering the unique contexts of each school. Education is a powerful tool for change, and I'm committed to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the classroom to better serve our students and prepare them for the challenges of the modern world.
