Rocky Balboa (2006) I have dealt with my fair share of setbacks in my life, and I don't think I am unique in that aspect. However, I am unique in the way they have shaped me as an individual. I have used them as opportunities to learn as I have a burning desire for knowledge. It has increased the determination inside me to be successful no matter how many times I try. That is why I am still here trying my hardest to improve every day because I refuse to stay down and get crushed. Instead, I have become grateful for these lessons as it has shaped me as the person I am today. A phrase that has been in my head for a while when trying to describe me is,'someone who you always want on your team.' I believe this because I value my knowledge and skills as an individual and part of a team through my experiences in education, employment, volunteering and my personal life. I am an honest person who can be diplomatic or direct depending on what is required. I believe I am trustworthy and can be depended on, no matter the circumstances. I have an active mind and I am constantly questioning why things are the way they are. I like to challenge assumptions, outdated procedures and people. I love to analyse any type of data as reflection is an engrained characteristic of mine as I always want to do better. I enjoy helping people understand complicated information by delivering it to them in a way that is personal to them. I am adaptable and can be effective in any team role. I am a storyteller and someone who loves to listen to others. I have been told through my life that I have an extremely dry sense of humour and a habit of using sarcasm.
