About Karen Eidsvik

With an audacious sense of adventure, I moved my young family across the world to establish the first SUBWAY® franchise in Singapore. Through my extensive career with SUBWAY®, the world’s #1 fast food chain, I built a wealth of knowledge with which I designed strong strategies to propel its growth throughout Asia. I can help businesses develop the vision and capacity for transformational growth in diverse cultures and economies. Either due to the scant resources at SUBWAY® or to my voracious appetite for learning I built a broad portfolio of experience across development, marketing, operations, R&D, procurement, and business strategy to expand the business from 300 to over 2300 restaurants. Healthy relationship building and collaboration with Franchisees, suppliers, and board-level executives were essential, as was effective communication across cultures and time zones, to build enduring partnerships. As one of five Regional Directors reporting to the International Director in Connecticut, I had a lot of independence to develop a resilient and diverse team across APAC. Through my leadership, we built a culture of cooperation, support, and curiosity. I believe the strength of a leader is not only measured by the achievement of business goals but through the personal growth of each member of the team. Now, after five years in the hospitality industry, I shift gears again and am helping build two new businesses in Thailand: Yedda.Ai - converting data from CCTV cameras into actionable alerts for companies to improve their operations, build their teams and reduce costs. Yedda Blue - a revolution in education teamed up with Brave Generation Academy (BGA) to build confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning for students from 2 to 18 years old, around the world.
