About Karen Hendrix

I have taken my skills to The Container Store. I will be taking some time to learn about the culture and the business. Updates to follow. I have been a part of the California Closets corporation for 12 years. I started with the company in 2012 as a new Sales & Design Consultant in Orange County, CA. I quickly made it to the top grouping of Sales & Design Consultants. I had perfected my craft by my second year and that coincided with the building boom in So California. Soon after, I became one the first sales lead in the business managing a small team and still selling over 1 million dollars for 3 consecutive years when job sizes were smaller. Next, I became one of 3 sales managers and managed a team of up to 15 that consistently sold over 1 million dollar a month. I coached them on sales skills in and out of the field and created processes that made the sales process easier. I trained new designers and led sales meetings. I networked with Trade members throughout the county and helped to support our design consultants that focused on trade sales. During COVID I moved my skills online (it was California and we couldn't go in our showrooms, offices and customer's homes) and held training sessions 2-3 times a week to keep virtual sales skills up. After COVID my desire was to work on a national level and support our design consultants across the county. I campaigned to create the position and became the first National Sales Trainer. I created and delivered new designer sales training virtually and in person, supported our businesses across the system with individual coaching with design consultants and their leaders, created monthly sales decks and delivered skill development training at 2 national conferences attended by over 700 employees. As the company migrated to Salesforce, I help develop and deliver training for the company owned business. Over a 4 year period, I worked with the CC Technology team to help develop the Salesforce platform work for our team members. In my time with California Closets I developed skills in the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, One Note, SharePoint( Sites, Website and Newsletters), Teams, and Zoom. I used SnagIt and Camtasia to create sales and customer expectation training videos for designer training.
