About Karen Leow
My interest in psychology stemmed from a friendship between myself and a classmate of mine with cerebral palsy when I was in primary school. I became interested in understanding how brains can be different, and pursued my BSc in Psychology and MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience. Equipped with experience in research and special education, I have a strong skills in communication, critical thinking, empathy, excellence, interpreting data, resilience, organization, patience, and problem solving. In my career, I have two aims: 1) to promote the importance of understanding and accepting mental health difficulties in Asian cultures, and 2) to be at the intersection between research and practice.
