About Karen Slater

As the Director of Operations for Slater Wealth Managment, I identified the need to offer mortgage consultation and sales to our clients to assist with their full financial planning needs. What sets Slater Wealth Management apart is our ability to listen to clients, specifically their needs for a more diverse offering for their investments. We take what we hear and we make the adjustments corporate-wide to rise up to their expectations. Personally, I enjoy finding ways to help clients use the equity in their home to enhance their financial situaiton or simply help a new home buyer enter the market knowing they have been given the best product and advice to suit their needs. With experience in the banking and insurance industry my career path has taken me into the management side of the business while still maintaining a role in client service. Being responsible for all operations of our office has allowed me to have a very diverse skill-set. I take pride in enhancing all aspects of our business to allow all Advisors aligned with us to be successful. Managing my own portfolio of clients keeps the gap tight on maintaining balance in our corporate operations. I have obtained my Business Finance Diploma from Sheridan College. I continued my education by obtaining the Canadian Securities Course. I completed the Mortgage Agent licencing course and most recently upgraded my skill set to include a Private Mortgage Certification. While I'm not working I enjoy cheering on my two daughters at the arena. I'm the President of the Parent Association/Council at my daughters school. In the summer I'm either boating or playing in a two-pitch league with friends. Slater Wealth Management is always looking to grow.
