About Kari Hanson

Hello, I am Kari - North Dakota licensed, NCCPA certified Physician Assistant with compassion and empathy for human suffering, desire to make a difference, determined to provide quality and compassionate healthcare. Is patient-oriented, proactive and adapts well to challenges. I am a recent graduate from Marshall B. Ketchum University - School of PA studies with a Master in Medical Science. Highly interested in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Surgery (Neuro, Ortho, General), Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care and Addiction Medicine. Throughout my didactic and my clinical training, I have developed a great appreciation and interest in working with patients of all ages over the course of their lifespan in promoting healthy lifestyles, disease prevention and reducing risk factors with those who have chronic conditions. I find it very satisfying to witness the bettering of patients' health over a period of time while building a long-lasting provider-patient relationship. My PA clinical experience includes: Neurosurgery, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Interventional Cardiology, Internal Medicine (including geriatrics), Family Medicine, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Pediatrics, Behavioral Health with proficiency in interpreting of EKGs, CXR and laboratory data, intra-op surgical assist, aseptic and isolation techniques, wound closure via sutures/staples/Dermabond, digital nerve blocks, examination of eyes using fluorescein staining, I&D, prenatal exams, pelvic exam, splinting, ACLS/BLS, JP drain management, venipuncture, hospital discharge follow-ups, bladder catheterization, IV access, IM injections, geriatrics, EMR (Epic), Microsoft office (Word, PP, Excel, Outlook). A little more about me. I was born in Wyoming, raised in both Colorado and North Dakota and graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a full ride Women's Basketball Scholarship. I chose the PA profession to be an integral part of the solution of the healthcare crisis by working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in providing cost-effective quality care. My goals are to take advantage of every learning opportunity and becoming a well-rounded, knowledgeable healthcare provider.
