About Kari Hatfield

I am a MSN graduate of Emory University’s AGACNP program. I hold an active APRN/ RN license in Georgia and I am ACLS, BLS, PALS, CCRN and PCCN certified. I received my BSN from Johns Hopkins University and BS in Education from Central Michigan University. I served in the Peace Corps from 2006-2008 as an ESL teacher in Northwest China. I am passionate about learning and growing as a nurse, as evidenced by my professional memberships and conference attendance. I have worked with culturally diverse populations with varying levels of health literacy, teaching them about their medication regimens and how to manage their health conditions. I enjoy working in critical care units because they allow me to take my nursing skills to the next level, providing me with opportunities to provide complex care to patients and to sharpen my critical thinking skills. I am a leader, a team player, an advocate, and I am excited to learn and grow in my career as a professional nurse.
