About Kari Wray

I graduated from Louisiana State University in May of 2020 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. For my senior capstone design project, I was the team leader which required communication, organizational, and leadership skills. The project was Additive Manufacturing for Medical Applications and the objective was to develop a biomimetic and echogenic breast model for surgical training using 3D printing. This project involved research, analysis, material fabrication, testing, and prototyping, all aspects being thoroughly documented. I recently spent 2 years part time at University of Alaska Anchorage and worked at UPS as a flight operations supervisor where I developed strong leadership and communication skills. I was responsible for overseeing up to 25 employees and held accountable for all flight operation procedures. Through my swimming career I also learned commitment, hard work, leadership, dedication, and how to balance a busy schedule. Overall I am highly organized, a strong communicator, and exceptional leader.
