About Karin Browne
A recent graduate of the Recreation and Leisure Studies program, woking in the Athletics Department at UWloo supporting my aquatic and first aid staff to offer programming and opportunities to the students, staff and faculty at the university. Over the last 10 years, I have worked with several organizations and water safety advocates to provide swim programs in the Caribbean. I am able to utilize my experience as a teacher, former Olympic athlete, swim instructor and customer service representative to connect with diverse communities. It's my hope to use recreation and sport to connect persons in underrepresented communities that are by providing opportunities for youth and other community members to better their standard of living. Through my education and experience, I understand the important link between these employment genres and the community.
