About Karin Daar

As a kid, I dreamt of becoming an inventor, with ideas that would solve just about any problem in the world - save the rainforest, end world hunger together with all the other things on any kid’s to-do-list. I headed in to industrial design and product development and later on in to developing creative communication concepts and marketing. That journey was full of encounters with great people and fascinating products and companies, but nevertheless I lost my way to what I was really passionate about, solving those important community problems. In 2015, I found my way again, that’s when me and Christian Andersson founded twentyten. Since then we have educated ourselves in Planetary Boundaries and Human Opportunities at Stockholm Resilience Center and over the course of the years helped many companies in realizing good ideas and bringing in eco/social values in to their business. Now we have a solid and proven framework for businesses to speed up the progress towards a just and sustainable future through Sustainable Business Innovation. As a person, I am curious, compassionate and value driven. Creating a positive impact for society and future generations is pivotal for my motivation. In my free time I like to spend time with my family and in the nature. Being quite restless by nature I find my calm when in "active rest" such as gardering, working out, climbing or hiking.
