About Karin Gerber
I am passionate about nursing, the profession, and its education, specifically in South Africa. I want to motivate staff and students to be independent practitioners, and the best person/nurse for their patients by being empowered and authentic to themselves. I have many clinical interests and a special love for wound care and infection control. Still, my passion currently lies with learning and teaching. educating our next generation of nurses, and empowering our current cadre of practitioners. The focus of my Ph.D. is to make a tangible difference in the learning and teaching taking place in undergraduate nursing programs by using a hybrid approach.
