About Karin Jonas

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor working toward clinical licensure to become an LCPC. I am compassionate and driven by a strong personal connection to mental health struggles and a genuine desire to help others. As the daughter and granddaughter of psychiatrists, I have a deep sense of empathy and a keen understanding of the importance of mental health support. I use an eclectic counseling approach that incorporates a variety of therapeutic modalities. By collaborating with clients in a non-judgmental and empathic manner, I am to create a safe space where clients are able to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, fostering self-acceptance and self-empowerment. I believe that everyone possesses the innate capacity for personal growth and I guide clients to tap into their own strengths and resources. This strengths-based approach allows individuals to focus on their inherent capabilities and resources, fostering a sense of agency and resilience. I have a warm demeanor and a genuine interest in building relationships, tailoring my therapeutic approach to meet the specific needs and goals of each client. I welcome a diversity of clients ranging from teens to mature adults. I look forward to working with individuals, couples and families as a counseling team. Outside of my counseling practice, I enjoy walking my dogs, playing tennis, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
