Background

About Karin Muscat

My corporate career spans over two decades; my commercial experience commenced with managerial level communication and marketing roles within the financial services, market research and advertising sectors. In early 2007, I was first introduced to the Executive Search profession. I have spent the past 16 years establishing my career as an executive search professional. I have worked for three leading global executive search firms. My experience is further augmented by my tenure at two locally owned boutique search firms, one of which specialised in predominantly serving clients within the financial services sector and the other which focused predominantly on talent mapping, executive search and recruitment at mid-management level. I have a solid understanding of executive search having been involved in all aspects of the process. In addition to direct exposure to global best practice, I also have insight into and appreciation of the nuances and idiosyncrasies of the local market. With regards to management experience, I have led teams in three of my roles, ranging in size of between five to ten individuals. Throughout my time in search, I have worked on local and cross-border searches. From a functional perspective, I have worked across the range of C-suite level and Non-Executive Directors/Chair roles for a variety of clients in most sectors.
