About Karin Netzel

The United States Marine Safety Institute is a public 501c3 Non-Profit Organization specializing in Professional Waterborne Life Saving Operations in Search/Rescue & Recovery and Personal Watercraft. We provide vessel operational training for beginners through First Responders and rescue operations for offshore boat racing. The immediate and continuing goals of the USMSI are to: 1. Continue developing marine education programs, conduct research, and to encourage and promote an ethic in critical marine safety issues, improving water quality, restoring coastal habitats and promoting and teaching general marine water safety and responsible vessel operation. Continue the development of our training programs. Our youth programs are module courses covering everything from tying lines, radio transmission, aids to navigation, environmental research and sustainability and many emergency and disaster response related skills. We provide courses in engine and vehicle maintenance and vessel repair of all kinds. Every student will be trained in first aid, CPR and Automated External Defibrillation, along with a great many other added skills. This is hands on proctored training.
