I trained as a baker and worked in commercial kitchens for several years before joining Snow Cap Enterprises, supplier of fine baking ingredients. Having started as customer service and administration, I now work in Quality Assurance. The role of Quality Assurance Coordinator has given me the opportunity to deepen my knowledge of food safety and regulatory requirements, as well as challenge me to develop greater leadership, organizational, and planning skills. My desire to continue to learn and grow also lead me to return to school. As a part-time student I earned a BA in Policy Studies (with a focus on sustainability) and a minor in Geography. Attending university allowed me to explore new and interesting ideas, meet new people, and further develop personally and professionally.
