About Karina Basrewan

Karina Basrewan is the Head of Partnerships, Indonesia for Eco-Business, Asia Pacific’s largest media and business intelligence organization dedicated to sustainable development and ESG performance, as well as the Social Media Coordinator for Museum for the United Nations - UN Live, a 'borderless' museum that sparks global empathy, action, and change through the power of popular culture and dialogue. She is also the Co-Founder of Climate Starts with SEA, a weekly newsletter dedicated to promoting climate action across Southeast Asia. Additionally, Karina is a freelance host, emcee, moderator, and content creator. Previously, she served as a News Anchor at SEA Today, Indonesia’s first English-speaking news channel, where she honed her expertise in journalism and broadcasting. Karina holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Melbourne in Media and Political Communications. Her career has spanned diverse roles, excelling in community management, content creation, journalism, broadcasting, and, more recently, environmental sustainability and climate storytelling. Karina has represented Indonesia on prominent platforms, including as Miss Earth Indonesia 2022, host of the ASEAN Summit 2023 in Labuan Bajo, and the only Indonesian recipient of the CNN Academy: Global South Climate Storytelling Program 2023 in Abu Dhabi.
