About Karina Forth

I am an Associate Underwriter at Markel, a global specialty insurance company, where I work with the Professional Liability - Executive Assurance team in Bermuda. I have a Honors of Business Administration degree from Ivey Business School at Western University, one of the top business schools in Canada. My core competencies include teamwork, research, and data analysis, which I have demonstrated in various academic and professional settings. As an Associate Underwriter, I have developed technical underwriting skills such as risk analysis, pricing, negotiation, and policy review, with a focus on Commercial D&O and Financial Institutions. I have also completed a comprehensive underwriter training program, where I learned about the underwriting process, products, and markets. Prior to joining Markel, I interned at Chubb, another leading insurance company, in different departments, such as property underwriting, finance, underwriting operations, and claims. In these roles, I gained valuable exposure to the insurance industry and its challenges and opportunities. I am passionate about learning and growing in the insurance field, and I believe I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, thanks to my academic and professional background.
