About Karine Fenix

Back in April 2018, I decided to take a sabbatical, finding out what makes me happy, finding out what I want to be when I grow up. The aim is to move away from the "this is what I got" mindset and to go to the "this is what I want" realm:) And I am glad to say that I am now back to real life, with a brand new outlook! I am now in LinkedIn again, as a Product Education Specialist, to empower our support teams with all the necessary technical skills to best support the Linkedin members. Before that and my year of self-discovery, I was also in LinkedIn where I worked from September 2014 through to April 2018, looking after Corporate clients and their usage of our tools and products, and helping them get the most out of it all.(Global Account Partner - Strategic Support) I also work for Research-Publishing.net since 2013, a non-for-profit association aiming at promoting Open Access publication in academia. I work there on a voluntary basis looking after brand marketing and awareness and publishing project management. And I love it! I have now also started a degree with the Open University (tick that off the bucket list) in Computing, IT and Psychology. The aim is to be able to create or oversee the creation of software, apps, trainings or anything all the while having an actual understanding of the ultimate's user in mind.
