https://hanslucas.com/kpierre/photo BIO Alongside her professional activity, Karine Pierre began photography as an autodidact at the end of 2015 and joined the Hans Lucas agency at the end of 2017. In the summer of 2018, she began to focus exclusively on photography and undertook training while continuing to cover social and political news. In 2019, she decided to focus her work outside France. After Tripoli (Libya), where she covered the front line, she moved to Beirut, where she stayed for two years. Her series Aftermath (Lebanon) is shown at the Visa pour l'Image festival in 2021. In 2022, she won the Residence Prize for Photography of the Treilles Foundation and the Grant of the Friends of the Albert Kahn Museum for her series The Shredded Lands (Lebanon). In 2023, she was awarded the ANI/Pixtrakk Prize at the Visa pour l'Image festival for her series "The Deep Play"(Lebanon). The series Take Me Home, shot in Pakistan with the support of the CNAP, was screened at the Visa pour l'Image Festival, and she received the Lucas Dolega / Saif / RSF Press Freedom Award 2023. She has also been finalists in various international competitions, including the Visa d'or of the ICRC, the Canon Grant for Women Photojournalists, the Roger Pic Award and the Camille Lepage Grant.
