Past Admin Work: Instructional liaison (2016-2018) leading Clark College in guided pathways reform at scale to address access, socioeconomic mobility and equity, and improve completion through meta majors and early career connection, program maps, math and English co-requisites, integrated advising, and more. “Every college is perfectly designed to produce precisely the results it is currently getting.” (Rob Johnstone) Chemistry Department Chair (2012-2016) supporting the department with annual scheduling, managing enrollments, textbook ordering and bookstore, curriculum and program changes/revisions, outcomes assessment, faculty and peer evaluations, budgeting. Current Instructional Work: Development and implementation of student centered learning environments asynchronously online via the POGIL pedagogy (pogil.org) using Science Interactive Quality Matters certified lab kits. STEM curriculum reform in allied health chemistry (GOB). Development and implementation of discovery based laboratory experiences promoting core undergraduate research (CURE) through POGIL labs (majors Organic and GOB) and the Small World Initiative (antibiotic drug discovery in undergraduate non-majors settings). Quality Matters (QM) certified online and hybrid instructor with extensive instructional and pedagogical design experience in the sciences. Past Contributions and Work: Contributed in the implementation, structure, and design of the Studio Classroom model (Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, under Dr. Christina Bailey, 2002-2004).
