I did not set my sights on becoming a regulatory specialist. I began my journey, while still in high school, as an entrepreneur, starting an importing company that grew to three retail locations in the DFW metroplex area. After selling that business I enrolled in college, where I lingered and learned for a while, eventually taking an undergraduate degree in psychology. Since that time I have homed in on corporate lexical work, compelled by an infatuation with language. It would seem I have lived something of a restless professional life. That said, I would not be where I am today were it not for my thirst for new knowledge, driving me to enroll, willfully and eagerly, in continuing education opportunities and devote countless hours to self-study. I thrive equally on the monotony of performing tedious, repetitive, detail-oriented tasks as I do on the creative rush that accompanies the discovery of new ways of using language to inform, persuade, or amuse.
