About Karl Morrin

I am a native of Washburn, Wisconsin, which is located on the shores of Lake Superior. After I received my degree from the University of Wisconsin - Superior, I took a position as the K-12 Physical Education Teacher for the Laona School District in Laona, WI. Beside teaching, I was the Boys Varsity Basketball Coach for two years.In the fall of 1998, I took a position as the Elementary Physical Education Teacher for the Valders Area School District. During my nine years at Valders, I was involved in the District's Leadership team which was involved in developing a PLC for the District. I also coached Volleyball, Junior High Football, Varsity Track and Varsity Basketball over my nine years in the District.In 2006, I took a position as the MS/HS Physical Education Teacher for Chilton Public Schools, as 'I wanted to get some more middle school and high school teaching experience. That summer of my first year in Chilton, I had finished my Masters in Educational Leadership from Marian College.In August of 2008, I took my first administrative position as the Pre K-12 Principal for the Suring School District, in Suring, WI. I spent four years in Suring as a building principal overseeing 40 staff members and 400 plus students.In 2012 I left Suring to become the JR/SR High School Principal for the School District of Manawa. Now I am finishing my PHD. in Education Administration and my superintendent's license.I spent 7 years working for the Menominee Indian School District. Two years as the Assistant Principal, and five years as the Director of Pupil Services for the school district as well as Assistant Superintendent the last two years.Now I am in my second year as the District Administrator for the School District of Florence in NE Wisconsin.In 2020 I was elected to the WIAA Board ofControl. This year I have been elected as the Board President of the WIAA Board of Control.I have finished my Superintendent licensure from Marian University of Fond du Lac, WI.My goals are to effectively lead my school district through these challenging times and be a positive role model, for the students of Florence and the high school athletes here in the state of Wisconsin.
