About Karl Munson
I have always been fascinated with the analytical nature of programming since I was a child. First, I was using the console in Fallout to fix bugs and spawn items, then I was starting to edit scripts and add mods to improve the games. After starting with games and basic scripts I got more interested in the code behind the games. I started to learn Java and how to make all of the things that I was on the user side of. My interest in programming led me to study computer science for my bachelor's degree. I learned about a variety of languages and focuses during my undergrad, but machine learning and natural language processing piqued my interest. Now I am finishing my master's in NLP and am excited to apply the techniques I have learned in class on real-world NLP projects.
