About Karla Ferrer

Graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelors of science in Biomedical science and a minor in psychology.Healthcare has always been a passion of mine, I’ve worked in a variety of positions concerned with differing aspects of the industry. At UCF as a lead peer advocate I educated my peers on public health guidelines invoking safe sex, nutrition, mental health and physical health. During my time in pathology I played a crucial role in getting over 200k+ patient a year get their results through accessioning, processing and timely delivery. At mindful behavior I proved quality care to Treatment resistant MDD patient through TMS sessions, talk therapy and clinical research studies. At Conquest Research I lead the Spanish initiative expanding care to under-served communities. I had actively pushed for studies to be translated and offer to my community, Latinx. I provided quality work consist with ALCOA+, and sponsors needs. I have started my journey at Orlando Health to future provide my professional skills as a clinical research coordinator at the Cancer Institute. Diving into a new sector of clinical research and structurally different study site. I welcome the challenge and I look forward to helping grow Orlando Health clinical research team.
