About Karla Grenon

My passion for British Columbia, the mountains and adventure led me to work in the travel/tourism industry for the number one ski resort in North America. I balance my life by hiking, kayaking, and skiing. I started running my own business, West Coast Trail Express, while earning my Business Marketing degree at Simon Fraser University. After selling the business, I moved to Whistler and worked in the Communications department. When Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains merged, I was promoted to work on the newly developed web team to combine 3 corporate sites into the WhistlerBlackcomb.com site. I moved on to be the Online Marketing Coordinator; Web Team Manager; Customer Relationship & Web Team Manager; General Manager and ultimately to become Director of Marketing. I enjoy connecting with guests, operations and leading a team. One of the most fulfilling parts of my work is developing an integrated marketing direction, building the long term roadmap, sharing my vision to secure funding and working with various teams (Guest services, brand, web, CRM, social media, PR) along with operations to put the plan in action.
