About Karla Herrera

I am a recent University of Florida graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Health Education, and I specialize in Community Health Promotion. I am passionate about community health, especially in underserved and minority communities, and am a firm believer in the power of preventative medicine. My hands-on experiences with program coordination, care coordination, and patient education in both outpatient and inpatient settings have exposed me to a variety of populations and has aided me in developing important communication skills. Paired with my education, my experience has prepared me to plan, implement, and evaluate a variety of education programs that can be tailored to the target audience. I am excited to use my knowledge and skills to increase health literacy among all populations and do my part in creating a healthier world for everyone.
