About Karla Hoffmann

I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst as well as a Licensed Behavior Analyst. I have experience working with a variety of grade levels, kindergarten through eighth grade, as well as with various ability levels including general education, resource, leveled resource and students with significant Autism. Some of my greatest strengths include my ability to collaborate with others. I am involved in training paraprofessionals in teaching procedures, behavioral practices, utilizing visual and behavioral supports, and reinforcement. Working in an Autism classroom has allowed me to become familiar with verbal behavior, teaching verbal behavior skills to students through the PaTTAN card sort system and using this system to teach academic skills to students with higher academic abilities. I have implemented a work box system and direct instruction materials. I have written and implemented success plans and completed a Functional Behavioral Assessment. In using evidence based behavioral strategies, I have helped students make significant progress behaviorally and academically.
