About Karla Manea

Hi, I’m Karla! I believe in leaving no one behind. I am passionate about advancing the rights, inclusion, and well-being of neurodivergent individuals across Romania. Currently, I’m an Advocacy Specialist at Autism Voice, where I’m amplifying voices and creating space for neurodivergent individuals across Romania to thrive. I work at the intersection of policy and storytelling, pushing for systemic change while building awareness that mental health is important and it deserves attention. In my short (but intense) career, I’ve done a little bit of anything (with a focus on project management and sustainable development). From social entrepreneurship, feminist projects and organizational development, I’ve managed a wide variety of projects. This journey has made me a bit of a “Swiss Army knife” in the world of social change. I know a little bit of everything and I believe this to be my greatest strength. I am currently an MA student in Implementation, Transformative Learning and Sustainability at Uppsala Universitet, where I am deepening my understanding of Global Health. This program equips me with the knowledge and skills to implement transformative strategies for sustainability, focusing on innovative learning and change processes that inspire resilient communities and organizations. I am much greater in person, so let’s meet!
