About Karla Martinez

As a Latina and first generation college graduate, I have transcended limits I did not even grow up envisioning. I am a fluent Spanish speaker and this has allowed me to exceed in my professional relationships, made my internship with the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce more personable and aided in gaining my title as Account Executive at my previous company, Lopez Negrete Communications. I am curious and love to analyze every detail in life and in work. Being a critical thinker allows me to dissect situations in search of the best possible outcomes. I find the most efficient ways to complete tasks, manage projects, and dig into research. I have an appreciation for teamwork and I believe having a sense of community is important for success but I also like to be self-sufficient and responsible of my on work. My individualistic mindset allows me to express myself and feel confident in what I do while also feeling trusted with the work I am delivering. I take total advantage of the opportunities that are given to me by taking on more responsibility, joining organizations and demonstrating my confidence to the company I am a part of. I like to keep my mind sharp by taking on new projects like DIY's around the house, cooking, learning new roller-skating tricks, taking care of my plants and finding new ways to give back to community.
