Curiosity, connection, and love for research are the key elements of my storyline. Ever since I can remember I have been asking questions as a way to understand the world around me and structure my thoughts. Born and raised on the warm Mexican West Coast, my appetite for knowledge led me, over 20 years ago, to Canada, the place that, after completing my graduate studies, became my home. Today, I am a multilingual Credentialed Evaluator and an economist with more than 17 years of experience in research, economic impact assessment, program evaluation, public policy, and performance measurement-related projects. My areas of expertise include technological and social innovation, entrepreneurship, higher-education programs, government relations, stakeholder engagement, program design, policy analysis, and accountability and compliance practices. A self-confessed nerd, storyteller and systems-thinker, I love connecting the dots and crafting narratives through reports and other knowledge mobilization tools. It shouldn't come as a surprise that I enjoy working in roles that allow me to put my interests, skills, expertise and experience to good use. In my current position, I ensure the achievement of project goals while delivering high-quality results that help demonstrate the value of supporting innovation. Through my experience in managing projects involving the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, economic impact assessments, research design, and the development of theories of change and performance metrics, I have acquired the knowledge required to provide valuable insight into complex research problems. Considered a kind, funny and polite person, I am a team player who also appreciates the value of independent work.
