About Karla Natale

Community relations, public affairs and events professional with more than 25 years of experience in community relations and partnerships, operations, conflict and crisis management, negotiation, large- and small-scale event production. Supporting my community and small business is my passion. I thrive when helping direct resources and make connections between organizations. I am active in my local Chamber of Commerce and strongly believe that small business is a back bone of our society. I am a morning person who relates to people at all levels of the organization. I pride myself in being able to connect with all facets of an organization, from service-providers to senior-level administrators. I believe in acknowledging hard work and offering praise and feedback. I value handwritten notes and compose and send them often. I have managed multi-million dollar budgets while saving my organization more than in lean years. I am a lead coordinator of six commencement ceremonies, with a total attendance surpassing participants. I have additional experience in community outreach, conflict resolution and talent development. I graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in management and graduated at the top of my class with a master’s degree in organizational leadership. I earned the 40 Under 40 award from Business New Haven in 2003 and completed the Leadership Greater New Haven program the same year. I am certified in corporate etiquette and protocol and train undergraduate students and working professionals in dining and social etiquette. I am a founding leader for a Girl Scout troop in my hometown of Cheshire, CT and a ministry lead volunteer at my church. I believe arts and music education are critical components of all levels of learning. I have experience as a non-profit board member and executive-level committee chair having served in both capacities for the American Red Cross. I believe in living a sustainable and healthy lifestyle – and have brought that mindset into the workplace where I conduct frequent walking meetings.
