About Karla Rahimi

Karla graduated from Whittier Law School in Costa Mesa, California with a concentration in Children’s Rights. Karla clerked for the Children’s Law Center of Los Angeles, where she advocated for the rights of children with open Child Protective Services cases, and Costa Mesa’s Special Education clinic, where she advocated the educational needs of children and protected their constitutional right to receive a free and appropriate public education. Karla was elected president of the Women’s Law Student Association in 2015. Upon graduating from law school, Karla moved to Texas. Karla is a former Legal Aid Line Attorney for Legal Aid of Northwest Texas where she counseled indigent clients across a variety of substantive areas of civil litigation and administrative law. With the passion to provide legal aid to marginalized communities, Karla began working for an immigration law firm in Texas that prompted her move back to California to work for Jose Jordan & Associates, a leading immigration firm in Los Angeles County. Karla says, “As a naturalized US citizen born in Mexico, I am honored to help my community achieve the American dream.” Karla has recently returned to Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas as a Legal Aid Line Attorney, focusing once again on providing legal aid to the indigent community across North Texas. In her free time, Karla spends time with her husband and two children. Karla’s hobbies include painting.
